Entities of the Northern Rivers Independent Press exist on a multitude of platforms—digital website, Instagram, and Substack mailing list—but the heart is in the stories told. It was created as a space for new writers, photographers, and filmmakers to share their voices and the topics which matter to them. The magazine propels up-and-coming creatives into the workforce, and every month’s new issue serves as an updated portfolio of collaborators’ work.

I love conducting interviews and writing pieces of my own. But as co-editor-in-chief, a lot of my effort is put into editing pieces, curating the website, and cultivating our growing network of creatives. My work has also involved grant research and applications, website data analytics, and social media management.
